This Privacy Statement contains important information about the processing of your personal data during your use of the GetRealLab platform. We advise you to carefully read this document before using our platform. The protection of your privacy is very important to GetRealLab. What type of personal data do we collect?
GetRealLab collects and processes only those data that are necessary for the use of our services and/or that have been provided by you, unless stated otherwise in this Privacy Statement. Below is a list of personal data we may process:
- Name/company name;
- Telephone number;
- Email address;
- IP address;
- Financial data (for financial contracts only);
- User history, including offers (that are still valid) and agreements;
- Other personal data actively provided by you in a message to us (email, contact form, other correspondence).
We do not intend to process any personal data of children under the age of 16 without parental consent or to process special personal data (such as health information or medical data). For this reason, we ask you not to provide such personal data to us.
Purposes and legal basis
The data collected by GetRealLab are only used for the purpose of facilitating the use of our platform. Your personal data will not be provided to third parties for commercial purposes in any way whatsoever without your express consent.
GetRealLab processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- To enable you to create an account;
- To settle your payment/to release funds for the proposed contract between users;
- To inform you of any changes to our services;
- To perform the contract.
GetRealLab also processes personal data when legally obliged to do so, for example data that we need for our tax return.
The personal data processing is based on the legal basis of your explicit consent, insofar as necessary for the performance of a contract or if necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. GetRealLab does not make decisions based on automated processing (such as profiling) about matters that may have significant consequences for persons.
Retention period
GetRealLab retains your personal data for no longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. GetRealLab applies a 7-year retention period, except for the personal data that GetRealLab is required to retain for a longer period of time, such as data for the Tax and Customs Administration.
Security
GetRealLab has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data provided by you against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration. If you believe that your data are not properly secured or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us using the contact details stated above.
Your rights
You are not obliged to provide your personal data. However, if you choose not to do so, the contract cannot be performed. You have the right to access your personal data and to correct, supplement, delete or restrict these data if they are inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant or are processed in breach of any statutory requirement. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent (if any) for the data processing or to object to GetRealLab’s processing of your personal data. Also, you are entitled to data portability. This means that you can send us a request to send your personal data that we have in our possession in a computer file to you or to any organisation specified by you. You can send your request using the contact details stated at the beginning of this Privacy Statement.
In order to ascertain that the request for access was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document along with the request. In this copy, black out your photograph, MRZ (machine readable zone, i.e. the line of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and citizen service number, in order to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any event within four weeks.

Sharing data with third parties
GetRealLab only provides data to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of our contract with you or for compliance with a legal obligation.
Transfer of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
GetRealLab may process your personal data outside the EEA. In that case, GetRealLab will ensure that appropriate safeguards will be provided so that the data are transferred in accordance with prevailing privacy laws and regulations. GetRealLab will first of all verify whether the European Commission (EC) has adopted an adequacy decision, declaring that the country or sector affords an adequate level of protection (for example the EU-US Privacy Shield). If this is not the case, GetRealLab will transfer the personal data on the basis of EU-approved standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
GetRealLab uses only functional cookies. We use cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website functions properly and, for example, that your preference settings are remembered. A cookie is a small text file saved in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. You can disable cookies, as well as delete all data saved previously, by changing the settings of your internet browser.

GetRealLab reserves the right to make changes to the processing purposes and to this Privacy Statement, which is based on those purposes. We therefore advise you to check this Privacy Statement regularly for any updates.
